FAQ
Is Mitsubishi aircon good?
Mitsubishi is considered a household name in Singapore as one of the biggest electronic brands of all time. Most of their customers enjoy air conditioners which are able to last years and even decades of moderate to heavy use. It cannot be denied that their aircon units are easy to operate and maintain.
How to clean Mitsubishi aircon filter?
This should be performed every 2 weeks. After the front panel has been opened, you need to un-click and remove the air filter. Light dust can be removed with low power vacuuming, or you can choose to wash it in lukewarm water for heavier dirt. Allow to dry and place aside.
The second filter in the filter frame- air cleaning filter- should be cleaned every 3 months in the same way as cleaning the air filter above. It is recommended for this air cleaning filter to be replaced annually.
What are the pros of Mitsubishi aircon?
Mitsubishi is widely known to have the lowest aircon noise rate of 19 dB, and owners can be promised to have a quiet and sleep-friendly night. It also adopts Hi CFM technology which allows its aircon units to provide the fastest cooling possible in 10 to 15 minutes.
What are the cons of Mitsubishi aircon?
As one of the leading manufacturers for aircon, it is expected that their air conditioning units are more expensive as compared to other brands in the market. The high prices are justified by the high quality, durability, and technological features.
Why is my Mitsubishi aircon light blinking?
If the unit is continuously blinking lights and the flap is properly connected, this could be an issue with the wiring or the indoor or outdoor PCB.
If the lights are blinking twice, the indoor thermistor may be having an issue.
If the lights are blinking thrice, it might be a fault with the indoor fan motor and the indoor PCB could have been damaged.
If the lights blink 7 times, the outdoor PCB is faulty and it is dangerous to check it yourself, it is better to engage with a technician to help you.
Is aircon servicing even important?
You may think that aircon servicing is expensive, and unnecessary since your air conditioners are still functioning normally. However, every unit works for hours at a time, and you are more likely than not unaware of how much dust actually accumulates on your air con components. Dust accumulation occurs on critical areas of filters, condenser coil, and evaporator coil. Avoiding air conditioning service means losing cooling capacity, cooling speed, and increased power consumption. As the saying goes, a stitch in time saves nine, if you do regularly service your air conditioners, you may save yourself much more hassle in the long term.
