LG CH23 Error Code: Troubleshooting Guide

For Singapore users, you likely will not know what error code you are facing till your Aircon technicians inform you about it. That is because LG error code can only be found on the outdoor units of certain models. Hence, unless you have the right equipment to climb outside of your window and open up the condenser. Firstly, assuming if you are using a multi split unit and have located whether the CH23 error comes from indoor or outdoor unit.
If the issue is with the indoor unit, check whether the wire connecting from the outdoor to that particular fan coil unit has low voltage. If the wire has no issue, most likely the indoor PCB is faulty.
However, if the issue is with the outdoor unit, it can be slightly more complicated. We have to identify whether there is 230v coming into the condenser unit. If not, check whether the incoming power supply wire is faulty. Furthermore, we also have to check on the connection of the harness that supplies the input power to the outdoor unit’s main PCB. We will also have to check on the reactor harness. If everything checked is ok, then the issue most likely lies with the PCB or compressor unit.
The estimated cost that we provide below is assuming if the unit is a 9000 BTU LG condenser unit. The price will be a lot more expensive for a multi split unit and ceiling cassette unit. For LG VRV units we may not have the required parts or expertise to fix it.
