The error code P0 on the display of your Europace air conditioning unit ordinarily signals a PCB-related fault, more specifically a reset on a driver module. (Generally, although it depends on the condenser model of your Europace outdoor sub-unit, this refers to the IPM, or the Intelligent Power Module, an inverter module responsible for controlling compressor and outdoor fan motor speed–thereby making the aircon unit energy efficient.)
There are lots of reasons for a driver module reset and a P0 error reading. A separate component attached to the PCB might be faulty, there could be an issue with the mainboard terminal, or the IPM module goes into overheat protection because of a failing compressor. The latter, in particular, is not a PCB-related problem. Finding the true cause of a Europace aircon P0 error can be tricky and involves an in-depth understanding of HVAC control mechanisms.
A good and thorough troubleshooting is what you can do from your end. Turn off the AC, unplug it from the power socket, and then check the outdoor sub-unit. There shouldn’t be any weird rattling sound coming from the compressor. It should also be in an open and well-ventilated space with no physical obstructions to the air flow. The PCB, where the potentially problematic driver module is attached, is inside the condenser. If you are capable of accessing these internal components, then do it. It might only take cleaning up the PCB and attached wiring in order to get rid of the P0 error. Clean as much as you can. Then don’t forget to check for any loose or broken connections, especially on the control board terminal. Plug your aircon, switch it back on, and check if the P0 error code is still there.
